A message from Kylie

I’d like to introduce my Professional MakeUp range to all who love makeup.

As a salon owner, an employer of makeup artists and a professional Makeup Artist myself, I was naturally uncomfortable using anything on my clients that I wouldn’t use on myself. Due to a long misdiagnosed gluten allergy I developed very sensitive skin that is easily irritated by the use of certain haircare, skincare and cosmetic products so it was of utmost importance to me that all my Professional makeup range be hypoallergenic so that others with similarly sensitive skin would be looked after.

It has taken many years of searching and refining to produce formulas giving true professional qualities without any unwanted reactions. Yes! It really is possible to have long lasting cosmetics without the redness, burning or stinging associated with lesser quality cosmetics.

Natural ingredients are used where ever possible and I am delighted to say my products are never tested on animals. This balance of science and nature’s pure pigments and minerals maximizes the effectiveness of the formulas in order to provide a safer alternative. You will quickly notice and appreciate the difference.
The range was created from my personal favourites, proven performers and client’s regular requests with a few fashion colours seasonally added.

Update Autumn 2009 - The 'MINERAL GODDESS' Range
The response to our timed release of select, Professional Mineral Makeup products last year was  overwhelming, with 100% positive and enthusiastic feedback. As we suspected and to our delight everyone loved it as much as we did, with excited pleas and suggestions for even more products and colours.
Naturally we were only too happy to oblige and so we gradually added more products until we managed to create a complete Professional Mineral Makeup range -  The Kylie's Professional 'MINERAL GODDESS' Range.
This range is the culmination of all our work and beliefs and could not have been created without the invaluable feedback and support from our clients and manufacturers.

So please; play with it, share it, enjoy it. You deserve it!

Update June 2008
Because we have the dual goals of maintaining our high standard of ‘Professional Quality cosmetics’ and our commitment to hypoallergenic products we are gradually replacing many our original Professional Make-up products with Pure Mineral and natural alternatives. As a result some of your past favourites may no longer be available but don’t despair, you will be more than impressed with its new mineral replacement.

The new Mineral Makeup is simply brilliant! It is durable, safe and so easy to use. The mineral blends are 100% natural and pure, containing no fillers, preservatives, perfumes, colorants or parabens. This makes them perfect for sensitive and problem skin types and also great after cosmetic procedures. They can be used every day and are also fantastic for professional Make-up Artists to use for all their on-location jobs.

I have especially fallen in love with the new Mineral Foundation and now always use and recommend it for weddings and special occasion make-up. It has superior coverage and is water resistant.

Please be aware, much as we all wish it were so, minerals are not a miracle cure for skin ailments and it would of course be unreasonable for anyone to make that claim. However we have put together blends of the purest, medical-grade, natural minerals currently available that are free of any known irritants to help provide you with the looks you desire, with the least chance of an unpleasant reaction.

If you do have a history of severe reactions to any skincare, haircare or other beauty or health products then it is advised that you first consult an allergy specialist for tests to determine the exact cause and/or offending element.

Manufacturers
It is one thing to have dream of having success bringing a special product to the market but quite another if in the process your values are compromised, or the environment, people or any living thing suffers.
I have chosen only those manufacturers who use the finest ingredients available and who consistently produce products of the highest quality. These manufacturers are in mostly in Australia with some also from America, Canada, and Germany, countries with high ethical and hygiene standards and also very strict controls and regulations. I will never resort to using lower price manufacturers in cheap/high risk countries, in order to produce a cheaper product. My and your health is too important to compromise!

Update July/2010:
It seems I am now increasingly running into people who proudly boast that their usual make-up is also Australian made.
Unfortunately unknown to them, they are wrong!
Sadly, several of Australia's most popular make-up brands, once made here, are now quietly being made in China and other low-cost/hi-risk countries. As a former big fan of the companies themselves and Australian made products in general I am hugely disappointed with their decision.  Perhaps you should let them know you are too!

Always check the labels, Box & ingredients and be aware of where your product really comes from and what it contains.
